The Test of Time

Some films hold up. Others, despite how you remember them, don’t. I had a great love for an ‘80s movie called The Final Countdown. In it, the modern-era (in the ‘80s at least) nuclear-powered USS Nimitz, commanded by Kirk Douglas, enters a time vortex and winds up back in 1941, just days out from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Douglas, armed with enough firepower to destroy the entire Japanese fleet, let alone the 400 planes that will assault the US fleet stationed at Oahu, Hawaii, is faced with the ultimate moral dilemma: should he repulse the attack and...

Logitech G430 Surround Sound Gaming Headset – review

Hear your enemies before you see them with the fully-immersive Logitech G430 gaming headset. The easy-to-use ‘plug and play’ allows you to employ the use of both the mic and the speakers or either one individually – the choice is yours. Here’re a few little gems of information that you might not’ve known about this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. Over 70,000 people attended this year’s show. A staggering audience of 42 million watched E3 content on Twitch. From the 70,000 attendees, 50,300 were video game developers, analysts and journalists. The terrible public Wi-Fi at E3 is still better than anything found in Australia. More than 1,600 products were on display. Free gum distributed at the show actually tasted like the smell of Deep Heat. E3 Live apparently attracted 20,000 fans, although it didn’t look like that to us. Twitter registered...
