Looks like Hellboy could be making a comeback – but it won’t be with Ron Perlman or Guillermo del Toro.

The Hollywood Reporter has suggested that Millennium is in negotiations with producers Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin for a new instalment to the franchise.

The working title is apparently Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, from a script penned by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden and Mike Mignola. British filmmaker Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent) is likely to direct the reboot.

If the rumours are true and it will be David Harbour taking over, that may explain his ‘mysterious role’ he had to abandon his Australian appearances for, and could spell the end for his Stranger Things character Jim Hopper.

Stay tuned for more.
