Pixar in the Land of the Dead? Sounds like darker territory than usual for the Disney hitmaker but that apparently is the setting for the studio’s upcoming Coco, the first full teaser for which dropped overnight.

Coco follows the story of Miguel (voiced by newcomer Anthony Gonzalez), who longs to follow in the footsteps of legendary guitarist Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt), despite his family’s generations-old ban on music. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events.

Coco is directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3) and Adrian Molina (story artist on Monsters University) and is due in cinemas in November.
