Rachel Weisz – appropriately enough – and Sam Claflin head the cast of the gothic drama My Cousin Rachel, the first trailer for which dropped overnight.
Based on the novel by Daphne Du Maurier, the period piece tells the story of a young Englishman (Claflin) who plots revenge against his mysterious cousin (Weisz), believing her responsible for the death of his guardian. Co-stars include Holliday Grainger and Iain Glen, while the director is Roger Michell (Le-Weekend, Notting Hill).
My Cousin Rachel was first filmed in 1952, with Richard Burton and Olivia De Havilland in the lead roles. A release date for the new version is still to be confirmed in this part of the world, but it will open in the UK in June.
