Constantine is one of DC Comics’ few TV flops, lasting just the one season. However, the demon-hunting detective is to get a new lease of life, this time in an animated series.

No details yet on plot, but Matt Ryan will reprise his eponymous role from the live action TV series, while the show’s creator David S Goyer is also apparently back on board.

Although Constantine was cancelled in 2015, Ryan’s character did pop up in an episode of Arrrow and the British actor will also provide the voice of the character – first portrayed on the big screen by Keanu Reeves – in the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray premiere Justice League Dark.
