Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
Release date: April 1
The culmination of the nine-chapter Skywalker saga, The Rise of Skywalker hit 4K Ultra HD via a native 4K transfer with HDR enhancement. All the incredible audio came via Dolby Atmos. If you’re into extras, you’ll love what the two bonus standard Blu-rays are packing, including the movie-length documentary The Skywalker Legacy. Release date: April 1
Will Smith and Tom Holland go to the birds in this animated spy caper that came to 4K Ultra HD with HDR enhancement and Dolby Atmos sound. A flock of featurettes, galleries and more come as bonuses on the included standard Blu-ray.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Release date: April 1
The first ever spin-off Star Wars feature came to 4K Ultra HD with native 4K, HDR-enhanced vision and Dolby Atmos audio. Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace
Release date: April 1
The first Star Wars movie if going through the story chronologically, this came to us from a recently created 4K master of the original combination of both classic film and digital image. HDR enhancement is the go, along with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Two bonus standard Blu-rays are included, offering up two commentaries and a plethora of extra bits ranging from interviews to deleted scenes and beyond. This 4K release is a JB Hi-Fi exclusive. Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones
Release date: April 1
The second chronological Star Wars film was shot completely digitally, with the result recently scanned at 4K. So, this release is derived from a 4K master, with the addition of HDR, however the original resolution at the time of filming was 1080p – cue the wonders of upscaling! Sound comes to us via the joys of Dolby Atmos. Two standard Blu-rays are also included, giving us two commentary tracks as well as a whopping collection of featurettes, deleted scenes and more. The digitally-shot third prequel also came to us from a new 4K master of a 1080p image that has been subsequently upscaled, with HDR also added to the mix.
