Star Trek: The Original 4-Movie Collection
Release date: September 1
Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise… Trekkies rejoice, for the first four Star Trek movies have all been lovingly remastered and have boldly gone and appeared on 4K Ultra HD this month in a snazzy box set.
All four of them – Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home – feature both Dolby Vision and standard HDR encoding on their newly-revisited, native 4K visual presentations, and include English Dolby Digital TrueHD 7.1 and 2.0 audio tracks.
Dedicated 4K extras include one audio commentary on Star Trek: The Motion Picture and two each on the other three movies (including director Nicholas Meyer on Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Leonard Nimoy on Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, and William Shatner alongside Nimoy on Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home), plus a newly-created 2.0 isolated score for the original movie.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture also delivers us the original 132-minute theatrical version, while Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan includes both the original theatrical release and the slightly longer director’s cut.

Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga
Release date: September 1
The insane action is ramped to 11 – even though this is only the ninth instalment – in the latest wild tale from Dom and his crew. It’s time for a double dose of Dolby, with Dolby Vision-bolstered sights and Dolby Atmos taking care of everything in the sound department – and boy does this one pack a sonic wallop! There’s even a double dose of the movie, with both the theatrical and director’s cuts included. There’s also a commentary, a gag reel, a massive 14 featurettes and a bonus standard Blu-ray copy. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

The latest in the ongoing scary franchise, this one’s suitably horrorific, made even more creepy by being based on actual events. Eep! It comes to 4K Ultra HD with HDR-enhanced vision and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack to add to the scares. Bonuses, on a standard Blu-ray, include three featurettes and a digital comic. Black Widow
Release date: September 15
The origin story of one of Marvel’s most kick-butt characters arrives in native 4K, complete with HDR enhancement and Dolby Atmos audio, plus a bunch of extras that includes nine deleted scenes, bloopers and featurettes. The Shawshank Redemption
Release date: September 15
The top-rated movie on IMDB, and first choice flick of sports players everywhere, arrived on 4K Ultra HD. The 1994 movie, based on the 1982 Stephen King short story Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption and starring Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins, hit the format with a native 4K transfer and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. A Clockwork Orange
Release date: September 22
Prepare for a wild Droog trip as Stanley Kubrick’s powerful, ultraviolent classic receives the 4K Ultra HD treatment. We get a native 4K restoration of the influential film, the creation of which was overseen by both Kubrick’s former personal assistant Leon Vitali and the Kubrick Estate, accompanied by a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack. Release date: September 29
A bank teller (Ryan Reynolds) discovers that he’s actually a background player in an open-world video game in this wild action comedy.
