The Hey Ya! half of Outkast, André Benjamin, is leaving Earth for a sexy space mission – in the upcoming movie High Life.
It’s a sci-fi adventure that’s being both written and directed by prolific French filmmaker Claire Denis. The plot involves a group of criminals who are hoodwinked into believing that they’ll be freed if they participate in a space mission involving a black hole and a search for an alternate energy source. Oh, they’ll also apparently have scientists carrying out sexual experimentation on them – whatever that may entail.
Speaking of science stuff, Denis is obviously a stickler for detail, as French physicist and black hole expert Aurélien Barrau has been consulting on the project.
As well as Benjamin, High Life will star Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche and Mia Goth (A Cure for Wellness). It’s due for release next year.
Until we have a trailer for High Life, we’ll just have to make do with one of the most perfectly-formed pieces of hip-pop ever…
