Having hoovered up pretty much every award that it could, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has proved that it’s something special.
It took a lot of people to bring it to life, and chief amongst those, at least creatively, is the animators. Yet they don’t get a commentary track on the home release.
So, rather than getting mopey about it, a group of them have put their own together.
Animation supervisor Joshua Beveridge, lead animators Philip Rudolph, Humberto Rosa, David Blais, Julie Bernier Gosselin and Jeff Panko, plus associate production manager Sam Marks, reconvened to record a track that you can access here (thanks to OnAnimation) and play along with the movie like a normal commentary track.
It’s a great way to get a different insight into what will always be a milestone in animated features.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is out now on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.
