From the mind – and hand – of the man behind The Witch, Robert Eggers, The Lighthouse is an 1890s-set tale about two lighthouse keepers on a remote and mysterious New England island.

Yes, it’s all in black and white, with an old time square-ish screen ratio – very Hitchcock. Hopefully it doesn’t also have single-channel sound. It does, however, look quite intriguing.

Starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson, The Lighthouse is primed for a US cinematic release in October, while we still await an Australian release date.
