There’s been word about several spinoffs from Game of Thrones being in development, now we have an update on where two of them are at.
The mooted prequel series set in the Age of Heroes and starring Naomi Watts has been killed off, according to THR. Unlike some deaths in the main series, this one is believed to be permanent. Apparently the pilot episode didn’t go down well with those who it needed to go down well with.
In better news for fans of the Thrones, House of the Dragon has been green-lit. This one’s also a prequel, following House Targaryen centuries before the events of Game of Thrones. It’s based on George R.R. Martin‘s book Fire and Blood.
A series of 10 episodes has been ordered, but no air date has been divulged as yet.
