Queensland has been home to the making of Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla vs. Kong, and it’s set to host the making of a new sequel to the latter big-monsters-go-smash-now epic.
The fifth movie in the latest series of Monsterverse monster mashes doesn’t have a title yet, and in fact little detail is known other than the north-eastern Australian location.
Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard has made it known that he’s keen to further explore the Hollow Earth that was revealed in that last film and, let’s face it, no matter what it’s always pretty cool to watch these insanely large creatures getting into a bit of biffo.
According to Screen Queensland, the movie is expected to deliver a $79.2 million economic boost, and will create a quite specific 505 jobs for Queensland cast and crew, as well as opportunities for 750 extras.
