A first look teaser trailer has arrived for upcoming action blast Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, and it really is a tease.
Clocking in at under a minute, it does show enough action to whet the appetite, and we’re sure that it won’t be long until a proper trailer arrives to show off more.
Even a promotional featurette that’s also landed, featuring star Henry Golding speaking of the comic book roots of Snake Eyes and more, is longer – watch that beneath the trailer.
As for the story, here’s the official word: “Snake Eyes is a tenacious loner who’s welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.”
Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins also stars Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving, Haruka Abe, Tahehiro Hira and Iko Uwais, and is slated for a July 22 Australian cinema release.
