Standalone Star Wars movies keep emerging to sit alongside the continuing main line of tales – heck, one opened this week – and now we can add another to the “coming soon” list, as Boba Fett is getting his own flick.

Not only is news that the much-loved cult bounty hunter is getting his own film great, but also who’s going to be bringing it to us.

Logan writer/director James Mangold is also writing and will direct what we’re guessing will be called Boba Fett: A Star Wars Story, according to THR.

That’s about it for info currently, but it will likely join another standalone story based on the life of Obi Wan Kenobi, and Disney are reportedly keen to explore other possible stories in such a way. Why not? As long as they get bottoms on seats then they’re a license to print space bucks.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now showing in Australian (and, indeed, worldwide) cinemas.
