That Foo Fighters horror/comedy movie Studio 666 that we heard about a while back is definitely a thing, and we have a quick teaser trailer to prove it.

It’s the tale – concocted by Dave – of what happens when the band rent a mansion in Encino to record their tenth album, but get a whole lot more than they bargained for…

The whole shebang has been directed by BJ McDonnell, whose previous horror experience includes the likes of Hatchet III and Slayer: The Repentless Killogy.

Said Grohl of the affair: “After decades of ridiculous music videos and numerous music documentaries under our collective belts, it was finally time to take it to the next level… A full length feature horror comedy film. Like most things Foo, Studio 666 began with a far fetched idea that blossomed into something bigger than we ever imagined possible. Filmed at the same house where we recorded our latest album Medicine at Midnight — told you that place was haunted! — we wanted to recapture the classic magic that all of our favourite rock and roll movies had, but with a twist: hilarious gore that f-cking rocks. And now we can finally let this cat out of the bag after keeping it our best kept secret for two years. Be ready to laugh, scream, and headbang in your popcorn. Studio 666 will f-ck you up!”

Uh, thanks, Dave…

Studio 666 is set for a late February, 2022 release overseas, and hopefully won’t take ages to hit Australia. Now, here’s that teaser:
