Bret Easton Ellis, the creator of American Psycho, is the writer behind a new horror flick entitled Smiley Face Killers.
It’s based on a theory proffered by several law types that a series of US murders in the 1990s through to the early 2010s weren’t accidental drownings as ruled, but were actually the work of a serial killer or killers.
Ronen Rubinstein stars as a young soccer player named Jake who believes he’s going insane, unable to shake the feeling of being stalked by something, by someone. It turns out that he’s very much not losing it, as a group led by a creepy “guru” played by Crispin Glover (our density!) is stalking him.
