A new trailer has arrived for DC League of Super-Pets, the much-delayed animated movie that’s been delayed once again.
While it looks very much like it could be a DC crossover with The Secret Life of Pets – it even features Kevin Hart’s voice as one of its characters – this one’s from the team at Animal Logic, who gave us the ace LEGO movies.
In other voice news, Dwayne Johnson gives Krypto his bark, with the likes of Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz and Keanu Reeves (as Batman!) also getting in on the action.
As for story, “Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel—to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.”
Having been booted from its promised May release date, DC League of Super-Pets is now scheduled for an Australian cinematic launch on September 15. Here’s the latest trailer, complete with a top Batman moment towards the end:
