With Dexter returning in a ten-part limited series, fans are hopeful that we’ll get a decent resolution to the serial killer’s story, after the last season let-down.
The original Dexter Morgan himself, Michael C. Hall, is returning, although it appears that he may be going about things under a different name:

Originally slated for a 2022 release, it looks like the series will be with us before year’s end.
Original showrunner for the first four (and the best) seasons, Clyde Phillips, is also returning, for a storyline that picks up in real time – so that’s around eight years since we encountered beardy lumberjack Dexter.
Save for Hall, no original cast members are slated to appear – well, unless they’re planning the odd sneaky cameo.
