Our meatiest look yet at the forthcoming Dexter: New Blood event series has landed, packing the odd surprise.
He might still be a monster, but he’s an evolving monster!
Here’s the official synopsis: “Set 10 years after Dexter went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the series finds him living under an assumed name in the small town of Iron Lake, New York. Dexter may be embracing his new life, but in the wake of unexpected events in this close-knit community, his Dark Passenger beckons.”
It seems there’s a serial killer on the loose in Dex’s adopted new home town, and we all know what Dexter does to serial killers… Then there’s the arrival of a certain son.
Original showrunner for the first four (and the best) seasons, Clyde Phillips, is returning, for a storyline that picks up in real time.
Obviously Michael C. Hall reprises his role as the titular serial killer, while Arthur Mitchell, better known as ‘The Trinity Killer’ from the series’ full-on fourth season, is set to make a return, once again played by John Lithgow. Speaking of dead people, Jennifer Carpenter, who played Dexter’s sister Deb, will also be returning.
New blood for New Blood includes Jack Alcott, Clancy Brown, Julia Jones, Alano Miller and Johnny Sequoyah.
The 10-episode Dexter: New Blood is set to air from November 9. Here’s that new trailer
