We haven’t heard a lot about what’s going on with Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis movie, but now the man himself – uh, Baz, not Elvis – has posted a quick tease.

It features Austin Butler – who we last saw in action as a Manson family member in Tarantino’s Once Upon Time in Hollywood – as The King, through three distinct stages of his mega career. Here, take a look:

If you’re wondering about the ‘TCB’, it was a favourite initialism of Elvis, standing for “taking care of business” and making its way everywhere from the name of his late-1960s band to the tail of his personal airplane. It was a fairly common saying back then, appearing in Aretha’s Respect and becoming the title of an entire song by Canadians Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Will it be the title of this as-yet-unnamed movie?

Also starring Tom Hanks as Elvis’s manager Colonel Tom Parker, along with Olivia DeJonge, Yola Quartey, Luke Bracey, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Kate Mulvany, Dacre Montgomery, Helen Thomson, Richard Roxburgh and David Wenham, June 24, 2022 is the planned release date, thank you very much.
