Back in the 1970s, Marvel licensed Spider-Man for a TV series in Japan, where the web-slinger was known as Supaidāman. It’s fair to say that it was rather different to what we’d come to expect from Spidey.

The Honest Trailers people have compiled a tribute of sorts to the show, which – as they point out – basically laid the template out for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. This thing is seriously weird – and we want more!

Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse hits Australian cinemas this week – check out our review here.
