Greed is an upcoming new satire on the super-rich that stars Steve Coogan and tells the tale of fictitious billionaire retail fashion magnate Sir Richard McCreadie.

Any similarity to actual British billionaires living or dead is, of course, purely coincidental…

The story goes a little something like this. McCreadie’s high street fashion empire faces a spot of crisis following a damaging public enquiry. In an attempt to save his reputation, the billionaire hits back with a lavish Mykonos party to celebrate his sixtieth birthday.

Asa Butterfield, Isla Fisher, Shirley Henderson and Stephen Fry all co-star.

From director Michael Winterbottom, who is no stranger to Coogan as he also gave us the superb 24 Hour Party People, as well as The Trip series and The Look of Love, Greed is set to hit Australian cinemas from April 23.
