The ninth Tarantino flick – he seems to like driving it home that it isn’t his eighth or tenth – has been getting a lot of buzz. Now we get a chunkier look at Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The flick just premiered at Cannes, and received a seven-minute standing ovation. It seems that moviegoers might be digging that QT has returned from western land.
The first proper trailer is snappy and very Tarantino. He’s also raided his Neil Diamond collection again…
OUATIH boasts an impressive cast, which includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Timothy Olyphant, Bruce Dern, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Damian Lewis, Luke Perry, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Clifton Collins Jr, James Marsden, Scoot McNairy and Al Pacino.
Story-wise, it’s the tale of Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), the former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognise anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor… Sharon Tate.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood – Tarantino’s ninth film, remember – is set to hit Australian cinemas on August 15.
