While it’s great to sit back and just take in the wild visual effects of a movie, sometimes it’s fun to take a peek under the bonnet at how it’s done.
Here’s a featurette that gives us such a peek, from VFX house DNEG, who worked on Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
If you’re not up to speed, the movie sees Tom Hardy back as Eddie Brock, along with the titular symbiote, for more buddy movie hijinks by way of the Marvel Spider-Man universe. Joining the cast for this sequel to 2018’s Venom is Woody Harrelson as serial killer Cletus Kasady, who harbours his own symbiote called Carnage – and that’s exactly what it intends to unleash… Then there’s the arrival of Shriek, played by Naomie Harris. Venom’s gonna have his hands full!
Venom: Let There Be Carnage has been directed by Andy Serkis, who knows a thing or two about CGI and motion-capture characters.
Us Aussies will finally get to see Venom: Let There Be Carnage in our cinemas from November 25. OK, featurette time:
