Yes, 1970s TV staple Charlie’s Angels is getting another movie boot up the, erm, “re”, this time with Elizabeth Banks calling the shots.

She’s doing it both onscreen and off, too, as she directs and also stars as Angel wrangler Bosley. Well, she’s *a* Bosley, for Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou are too.

As for the trio of crime-fighting, kick-arse private eyes, they’re portrayed by Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska.

In this take on the story, the Angels have gone global, with members all over the world. They’re called in to deal with dangerous new tech that is set to save the energy industry – but threatens all of us if it falls into the wrong hands. Help, Angels, help!

The trailer (below) also features the new track from another terrific trio in Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey. The title has yet to be revealed, but we seriously doubt that it will be Independent Women (Part 3).

Charlie’s Angels is currently set for an Australian cinema release in November.
