Who’s the Boss? was one of the most successful sitcoms ever, so it’s no great surprise to hear that it’s set to return, sequel style.
Yes, a new series that’s set to continue the story that originally finished up in 1992 is in development, according to Deadline.
Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano have both signed on for the project, revisiting their roles as father/daughter combo Tony and Samantha Micelli.
This new series will be set in the now, with single mother Sam living in the same house that the original series was set in.
Apparently original cast members Judith Light and Danny Pintauro are “supportive” of this planned new series, and it’s hoped that the producers will find ways to shoehorn them in somewhere. Katherine Helmond, who portrayed the awesome Mona, passed away early last year.
Meanwhile, whenever we hear mention of Tony Danza we can’t help thinking of this Elton John classic…
