If you thought you knew everything about The Rock – he’s no shy little flower – then you may be wrong, as there’s more to learn with Young Rock.

Set to be a new TV series from the creator of Fresh Off the Boat, Nahnatchka Khan, the show is set to let us in on three periods of his early The Rock life, but we’ll let the man himself – or his social media manager – tell us more.

“Our new, wildly funny and unbelievable show for NBC, explores my true life events during my formative years from growing up in the surreal and tough world of pro wrestling to being a broke kleptomaniac to hanging out in honky tonks at 15yrs old in Nashville and deciding I was gonna be an outlaw country singer. Move over Waylon & Merle, cos here I come… (some of you know those names). To winning the National Championship at THE U. Miami. The baddest boys college football has ever seen. Period. What a FUN and WILD show and can’t wait to deliver it to you guys in 2021.”

Three young actors will play variously aged The Rocks – Adrian Groulx (10-year-old The Rock), Bradley Constant (15-year-old The Rock) and Uli Latukefu (college The Rock).

One interesting thing to note is that production has apparently commenced here in Australia.

We’re pretty sure we’ll be hearing more about this soon…
