As the many seasons of Game of Thrones have unfolded, the reliance on detailed prosthetic makeup has increased markedly.
In the video below, prosthetics designer Barrie Gower gives us some insight into the process, which can see actors sitting in a chair getting stuff stuck all over them for upwards of six hours a session. Multiply this by however many actors are required to be made up for a scene, and this is a rather daunting process.
Gower also speaks of his feelings – and those of his team – with this being their final season.
