Well, we are if the word of Josh Brolin is to be believed, as he reckons he’s signed on for another three turns as Cable after Deadpool 2.
While it isn’t exactly clear whether they’ll all be direct Deadpool sequels or a spinoff of the X-Force that’s being introduced in Deadpool 2, Brolin dropped the news in an interview with Empire.
It’s curious, as at the same time the Sicario, Avengers and Deadpool franchise star reveals that he doesn’t dig sequels. But apparently, with a little planning, they can maintain his interest.
“Deadpool 2 comes with a definite end in sight,” Brolin told the magazine. “We think about it in four movie terms. We tried to think of Cable as a full arc, not just in this movie, but in the trajectory of four films. That made it a lot more fun for me.”
Man, we wish we’d invested in those fourth wall shares now, for a lot of them are gonna be smashed and need replacing…
Deadpool 2 invades Australian cinemas on May 16.
