We had a fun teaser, now we have a full-blown trailer presenting Thor: Love and Thunder in all of its magnificent glory…

…and Thor himself, too!

Director Taika Waititi’s much-loved character Korg commences narrating proceedings, a tale of a Thor who’s not quite sure where he’s at in life, and the passing of the Mjölnir to an ex.

Here’s the official way of saying that: “Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjölnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”

It still looks all kinds of epic, while bringing that line of Taika Waititi bonkersness that we love ever so much. July 7 is the day upon which Thor: Love and Thunder shall descend upon Australian cinemas.
