With the unexpected success of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and the expected success of the second, it’s no surprise that there will be a third. In the interim, NASA may have discovered a new star.
Demonstrating that they’re cool beyond just doing all that wild spacey stuff, when NASA received a letter from nine-year-old wannabe Guardian of the Galaxy Jack Davis, they responded to him with an encouraging letter. Can you imagine being nine and receiving this?

Meanwhile in actual Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 movie news, writer/director James Gunn has told The Hollywood Reporter that he’s already nailed down the song list for the flick, but he wouldn’t be drawn into giving away more details.
Gunn also intimated that while the third outing (tentatively due in 2020) will feature the motley Guardians crew that we all now know and love, there are no guarantees that they’ll be there should a fourth escapade ensue. There are plenty of options from the exisiting comic universe and setups from the movies, and we’re sure fans are going to have fun playing them out. But in case you’re not up to date with the movie’s universe we’ll say no more.
You’ll be able to get up to date this month though, as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits home August 23 on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD – the latter being Disney’s first foray into the awesome super high definition format.
