Yep, this here Playmobil: The Movie thing is real, and here’s the teaser trailer to prove it!

Either that or it’s a very elaborate hoax.

OK, so we sound a bit skeptical, but having eyes-on shows that it could be another fun diversion in the animated movie section for the LEGO wannabe kids toy.

Featuring the voices of Daniel Radcliffe, Meghan Trainor and Adam Levine we still smell a musical, despite there being no evidence of this at all in this first look. They’ll appear along with the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy (Barry, Morgan (but no ‘World of Organs)), Gabriel Bateman (Lights Out) and Jim Gaffigan (Super Troopers 2).

Playmobil: The Movie is set to be a mix of animation and live action, following the adventures of siblings Charlie and Marla. When Charlie is sucked into the animated universe of Playmobil, Marla must set out to bring him home. She is apparently aided in her quest by “a smooth-talking food truck driver” named Del (Gaffigan), dashing secret agent Rex Dasher (Radcliffe), a misfit robot and an airy-fairy fairy-godmother (Trainor). As for Lambert, he’ll voice the villain of the piece, Emperor Maximus (boo!).
