This came to light in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which was hosted by the very enthusiastic Mike Birbiglia, as Kimmel currently has COVID.

Myers didn’t run with the opportunity to either confirm or deny that he’d bring Powers out of his 20 year deep freeze, but he has hinted in other forums that he’d like to.

The three flicks – Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Austin Powers in Goldmember – were super-fun a couple of decades ago, giving us a wild ride of fish-out-of-water tales of a ’60s super-spy with quite a bit of James Bond thrown in for sh-ts and giggles. But they were also so, so wrong when it came to political correctness… Could Myers get away with the same shtick all these years later, or could the world of 2022 actually be leveraged for more fun?
