It’s quite an understatement to say that the Marvel universe is huge, and there are only so many movies that they can make.
As such, we’ve had a lot of characters spill over into television shows such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Punisher. Now comes word that Jeremy Renner will be putting on the Hawkeye gear again for his own TV series.
According to Variety, it will be an adventure series in which Clint Barton – you know, Hawkeye – will be passing the baton to young Avenger Kate Bishop, just like in the comics.
Hmm, so Renner may not be in the series for very long then?
Other Marvel characters set to be involved in new series include Falcon, Winter Soldier, Loki, Scarlet Witch and Vision. Meanwhile, on the big screen, there are several sequels planned – Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, Venom, Blade – as well as new big screen outings in various stages of development for Dark Phoenix, The New Mutants, Gambit, Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi, Ms Marvel and Morbius. Plus, we’re betting, there are several that haven’t been announced yet.
One thing’s for sure, if you’re a Marvel fan you have a lot of content to look forward to in coming years!
Meanwhile, the next big MCU thing is, of course, Avengers: Endgame. It’s in Australian cinemas from April 24.
