We’re not sure about you, but we miss the OTT antics of Jack Bauer in 24. But good news: After an all-too-brief stint as the US president, Kiefer Sutherland is returning to the spy world.
He’s set to star in a new, yet-to-be-named spy series that Variety reports will find “private espionage operative James Weir (Sutherland) in the midst of a battle over the preservation of democracy in a world at odds with misinformation, behavioural manipulation, the surveillance state and the interests that control these extraordinary powers.”
They can call it whatever they want, that synopsis is enough to have us in!
John Requa and Glenn Ficarra have written the eight-episode series, and will also executive produce and direct. They’ve previously been involved in everything from This Is Us to Bad Santa.
