With the upcoming home release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, all manner of new insights will be had from the raft of special features included. But it will be hard to top this one involving saga newbie Laura Dern.
While appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last year, she admitted that every time she fired her blaster pistol as Vice Admiral Holdo she’d say, “Pew!”. We reckon we’d be hard pressed not to as well – but then we’ve zero chance of every appearing in a Star Wars movie.
Anyway, according to a tweet from a Daisy Ridley fan, director Rian Johnson has corroborated Dern’s story in the commentary track for the home release of The Last Jedi. Our professional side would like to corroborate this story more, but the rest of us is just like “So cool!”.
"You can see Laura Dern say 'pew' when she fires the gun, which she could never not do every time she shot it." — Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi Commentary pic.twitter.com/Wkr803BQte
