Leonardo DiCaprio isn’t preparing himself to go green and play a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. However, he is going to play classic briliant bloke Leonardo da Vinci.
The movie will be based upon former Time editor Walter Isaacson’s forthcoming 624-page biography, Leonardo da Vinci, reports Deadline. The author has also been responsible for other simply titled bios Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, plus Steve Jobs, which with Aaron Sorkin’s help became the Fassbender-infused movie of the same name.
There was apparently a fierce bidding war between studios for the book rights, with Paramount emerging victorious. Steve Jobs was a great watch, here’s hoping Leo can, well, really bring the Leo for this one. Hey, at least he won’t suffer any name confusion on-set!
