In 1983 a fine teen film called Valley Girl was released, featuring Nicolas Cage in his first starring film role.

It was the classic story of a girl from the right side of the tracks falling for a boy from the wrong side of them, had a killer soundtrack of original tunes and was, basically, totally tubular.

A remake of sorts – they’ve gone rather High School Musical on us – is set to release in May, bearing the same title. It stars Happy Death Day‘s Jessica Rothe and features the likes of Mae Whitman, Peyton List, Chloe Bennet and Alicia Silverstone. Plus we get to see Logan Paul punched in the face.
