John Bellairs’ much-loved gothic horror children’s book The House with a Clock in Its Walls is soon to bring its magic to our screens.
Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment are bringing the creepy-but-cool tale to our screens, and it’s the directorial follow-up to Death Wish for Eli Roth. That’s quite a stylistic departure.
The House with a Clock in Its Walls stars Jack Black and Cate Blanchett as the residents of the titular tick-tocky house. The story sees 10-year-old Lewis going to live with them, and soon finding that the strange abode houses many a secret when he kind of sort of accidentally wakes the dead. Oops. It might be time to fight magic with magic then?
Watch (sorry) out for The House with a Clock in Its Walls in Australian cinemas from September 20.
