It’s hard to know where to start with now cult classic movie The Room. But if you know nothing of it, forthcoming movie The Disaster Artist might be a good place.

The Room was a semi-autobiographical brain-fart romantic drama from a rather eccentric guy named Tommy Wiseau. He wrote it, produced it, directed it and also starred in it – despite possessing questionable talent. But the guy had belief – modern day Ed Wood, anybody?

The Disaster Artist sees Wiseau played by James Franco, and he also – quite appropriately – directs. Rather than being so bad that it’s good like the film that it’s based on, however, all the buzz is that Franco’s flick is a masterpiece. You could likely pen a thesis on the logic behind it all… But we won’t.

The Disaster Artist also stars Franco’s brother Dave, Alison Brie, Zac Efron, Jacki Weaver, Seth Rogen, Sharon Stone and Melanie Griffith. It’s also a cameo-fest, with the likes of Kristen Bell, Lizzy Caplan, Bryan Cranston, Adam Scott, J.J. Abrams and Zach Braff all showing up – along with another special guest.

Anyway, here’s the brand new trailer that dropped overnight…
