There have been quite a few movies featuring foster families over the years, but not much in the way of out-and-out comedies on the subject. Well, until Instant Family.
Rose Byrne and Mark Wahlberg star as a couple who are renovating a house (a very big house) when thoughts of what to do with those five bedrooms are triggered by a friend’s comment about their unlikelihood of having kids.
They subsequently look into fostering a child – and end up welcoming a trio of kids into their home. Much hilarity ensues – as do ball-related injuries. It’s all based on a true story, too.
Get into Instant Family when it hits Australian cinemas on November 29.
