Gone Girl writer Gillian Flynn and 12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen have teamed for crime thriller Widows – and we haven’t even mentioned the cast yet!

The story? Four Chicago-based women are brought together after being saddled with debt to dodgy types following the deaths of their husbands, who had been into shady things. They conspire to extricate themselves from the mess that they’ve inherited.

Now, for the cast. Have some names: Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, Colin Farrell, Daniel Kaluuya, Carrie Coon, Jacki Weaver, Jon Bernthal, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Robert Duvall and Liam Neeson.

We’ll happily watch anything with a cast that good, and we’ll get the chance to watch Widows when it hits Australian cinemas on November 29.
