Many war films pass our screens, usually concentrating on all manner of heroics from the featured soldiers. Thank You for Your Service takes a different tack – examining the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder on those returning from war.

Based on the book of the same name by David Finkel, a Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist who spent time embedded overseas with U.S. troops, Miles Teller stars as Adam Schumann. Having completed a tour of Iraq, he’s returned home a broken man.

The screenplay was co-written by Finkel and director Jason Hall, the latter of whom also wrote the similarly themed American Sniper.

Also starring Amy Schumer, Haley Bennett and Beulah Koale, Thank You for Your Service is due for cinematic release later in 2017 (we’re awaiting confirmation of an Australian date). Here’s a look at the movie, featuring interview snippets with the stars.
