Especially more recently, Hollywood is often rightfully criticised for showing little in the way of imagination. Somebody there still has one though, as they’ve decided to pursue a Rubik’s Cube movie.
The puzzle, which was ubiquitous in the 1980s and still has a phenomenal following all these years later with sales of over 450 million, was invented by the man above, Hungarian boffin Erno Rubik.
As well as a movie based in some way on the Cube, a game show is also in the offing – producers Hyde Park are really going all in. In a statement they claimed that they, “look forward to creating a wonderful and complex Rubik’s universe.”
