With Sony’s plans for a whole new go-round set in the Men in Black universe, the big question has been: “Who will star in it?”
We heard rumour a while back that Chris Hemsworth would be the big shining light – well, not the flashy thing, but he’ll look flashy in a black suit and shades – and this has proven to be true.
As his partner, Hemsworth’s Thor: Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson will also be suiting up.
That’s pretty cool casting there, and it gets better with news hitting that Liam Neeson is expected to sign on, presumably as the pair’s boss.
Story info is harder to get than an all-access pass to Area 51, other than this Men in Black will apparently be set in London. Well, at least in part, as this one’s supposed to be a “global adventure”.
The key thing to remember is that this isn’t a remake, rather a spin-off from the original trilogy. It’s being directed by The Fate of the Furious guy F. Gary Gray, and a release date has already been set for June 14, 2019
While we wait, here’s a fun scene from Men in Black II…
