It looks like the much-loved Quantum Leap is the latest series to be given the Hollywood reboot treatment.

It’s come to light that US network NBC have ordered a pilot for a new take on the classic time-travelling sci-fi series that starred Scott Bakula and the late Dean Stockwell.

The new series is being written by Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, who have previously worked on the likes of Gotham, God Friended Me and the remake of Hawaii Five-O.

Some good news is that original Quantum Leap creator Don Bellisario is set to be involved as an executive producer, as well as Deborah Pratt who was the original series’ narrator. It hasn’t been confirmed whether Bakula will be involved in any way.
