Nicolas Cage may be an avowed worshipper of Superman, but that doesn’t mean that he’s a one comic empire guy. He’s crossing to the Marvel side to voice *a* Spider-Man in the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
He’s already lived the dream of voicing his DC hero Supes in Teen Titans Go! To the Movies (opening in Australia on September 13), and now it’s been revealed that he’s also given voice to one of the Spider-Men in Marvel’s Christmas-bound animated flick Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. he’ll be slipping into the virtual Spandex of the 1930s-based Spider-Man Noir (not that they had Spandex back then).
As far as allegiances go, of course Cage did play Marvel’s Ghost Rider back in 2007 (and 2011), but the less said about that the better.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse comes from the dynamic duo behind Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and The LEGO Movie, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and concentrates on the character of Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore), who is mentored in all things Spidey by Peter Parker (voiced by Jake Johnson).
