Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her role as Laurie Strode in a new Halloween film.
Since starring in John Carpenter’s seminal horror classic, the former screen queen has also appeared in sequels Halloween II (1981), Halloween H20 (1998) and Halloween: Resurrection, and is now set for a final confrontation with Michael Myers.
“Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween,” tweeted Curtis on Friday.
A new Halloween film has been in development since 2009 but never made it past the pre-production phase. Now, with Curtis onboard and Carpenter and horror specialist Blumhouse producing, this latest attempt to reboot the slasher franchise is actually happening.
The 10th film in the franchise will be directed by David Gordon Green and Universal will release the film on October 19, 2018 – just in time for you know what.
