It’s the Dr Seuss book that’s now become a thing to be given to pretty much every graduate in the US, it’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go, and it’s getting the animation treatment.

Only released in 1990, and the last published book from the man who was also known as Theodor Geisel, it’s a tale of how life can go well, or how life can smell, but that if you keep on at it then it won’t necessarily be sh-t. Or something like that.

Anyhoo… Crazy Rich Asians guy John M. Cho has been signed up to direct the movie version, which will be a musical. It isn’t slated for release until 2027, according to Deadline.

It’ll be coming from Warner Bros., who also have an animated The Cat in the Hat flick in the works, which has to be better than that live action freak show with Mike Myers, yeah?

Meanwhile, if you need some seriously cool Dr Seuss action right now, get into Illumination’s top take on The Lorax:
