For many, Batman is the coolest superhero, yet at times he’s almost been upstaged by one thing, and that’s his Batmobile.

Everybody has a favourite – ours is the classic ’60s one, closely followed by the Burton era dream machine.

Anyway, an almost hour-long, official documentary on the history of the various Batmobiles has hit YouTube, and it’s a top watch.

Simply entitled The Batmobile, the doco covers the Caped Crusader’s wheels from the early comic days right through to the animated series, with everything else in-between. It also features interview footage with various Batman directors, including Christopher Nolan, Joel Schumacher and Tim Burton, as well as actors Christian Bale and the late, great Adam West. They’re joined by various clever folk who helped bring various Batmobiles to life.
